No one's immune from suicide

It seems every week we hear with disbelief about someone who has taken their life. Disbelief because they seem to have it all.
Young kids in particular seem to being embracing this "permanent solution to temporary problems".
I had a friend kill himself. When I heard he had taken his life I couldn't believe it. There seemed to be no clues. When someone is obviously in trouble we should/must talk to them even when it feels like we're overstepping the mark and they won't like what we say. What you do when there are no clues is a mystery to me but I'd like to hear what others have to say.
If there's anyone out there who has been touched by the suicide of a loved one, or is contemplating self harm, please reach out to others in the same boat.

Suicide is still a bit of an unknown. You never know what to say and worry you may say the wrong thing. My sister self harms but says she would never kill herself as she says she "Hasn't got the guts". This worries me-what if one day she feels she's "got the guts". I had a look at the R u ok? website and they had some good advice about how to talk to my sister and offer her support. You say that you can't believe it as there were no clues. I wonder if you are ok? I just found a group called SupportAfterSuicide @AfterSuicideAU supportaftersuicide.org.au maybe they could help?
