Hi, I myself have suffered from both depression and anxiety and know how difficult mental illness can be to deal with in a relationship, from both sides. I suggest that you trying talking to her in a calm environment and expressing your concerns as you have here. This will show her that care. Don't pressure her to give an answer on the spot. She may need some time to think about you can best support her or may feel more comfortable telling you on paper. Most importantly though, you have to make sure that you're looking after yourself, both physically and emotionally. You need to stay strong and reliable, not only for your girlfriend, but also for yourself. Support is available for the both of you. Websites such as beyond blue have some great resources (especially for depression and anxiety), otherwise I'm happy to answer any more questions that you may have here on the SameBoat forum.
