A space for the ups, downs, and everything in between — honest conversations about mental health with people who understand from the inside.
Mental health isn’t a topic you only deal with when something goes badly wrong. It’s the ordinary business of noticing how you’re doing, finding words for it, and working out what helps. This category is for all of that — the difficult stretches, the slow recoveries, the everyday maintenance, and the questions you’d rather not ask out loud.
You don’t need a diagnosis to post here. “Something feels off and I don’t know what” is a perfectly good place to start.
What people talk about here
Not feeling like yourself lately, and trying to work out whether it’s a phase or something more. Finding a therapist — where to start, what it costs, what to expect from the first session. Supporting a friend or family member who’s struggling, without losing yourself in it. Telling someone for the first time. Medication questions and side effects. Getting through a bad week. Wondering whether what you’re feeling is normal.

How to use this category
Share as much or as little as you want. You can post anonymously. Nobody here will tell you to cheer up, and nobody is going to diagnose you — we’re people who’ve been through versions of this, not clinicians.
