For climate anxiety, eco-grief, and the weight of it all. A space to talk about how climate change feels — and turn worry into something bearable.
This isn’t a category for debating the science or arguing about policy. It’s for the emotional weight of living with what’s happening — which is a real and increasingly common experience, particularly for young people and for anyone who’s been through a fire, flood or drought.
Eco-anxiety isn’t a disorder. It’s a reasonable response to a real situation, and the aim here isn’t to talk you out of it.
What people talk about here
Dread that surfaces with every news cycle and won’t quite settle. Grief for places and species already lost. Rebuilding after a disaster, and the anxiety that arrives with the next warning. Talking to children honestly without frightening them. Deciding whether to have children at all. Burnout among people already doing the work. The isolation of caring more than the people around you. And finding a level of action that’s sustainable, rather than the kind that consumes you and then stops.

How to use this category
Keep it to the personal and emotional rather than the political. Policy arguments have plenty of homes on the internet; places to say “I’m frightened and I don’t know what to do with it” are rarer, and that’s what this space is for.
Please don’t respond to someone’s distress with more statistics. They almost certainly already know.
