About SameBoat

SameBoat is a peer-support forum. Peer support is simple: people in the same boat get together to talk over the issues they have in common.

Why peer support works

Endless scientific, mental-health, and research papers have explored why peer support helps people cope — but the answer is simple. Only someone in the same boat can really understand what it’s like. It works because the people sharing their experiences realise they’re not alone, that others face the same problems, and some of them even know what to do about it.

SameBoat is an anonymous, simple, and safe way for people with shared concerns to help each other deal with the issue they have in common. And it isn’t only for big problems — whatever the issue, big or small, you’ll find someone in the same boat to talk to.

How we help you find support

SameBoat places topic-related links and resources — we call them “liferings” — on discussion pages, so anyone looking for help can reach it in a single click.

Some of our categories are led by SameBoat Sponsors: real experts and organisations who genuinely know their field and help guide their community. Find your space → | Are you an expert? Become a Sponsor →
