Struggling quietly rarely stays quiet for long, especially with the people who see you every day. They notice the distance before you’re ready to explain it, and “I’m fine” stops landing the way it used to.

It’s a strange kind of pressure: managing your own hard days while also managing how visible they are to someone who loves you. Neither hiding it well nor talking about it openly feels like the right move, so a lot of people end up stuck between the two.
