I saw this amazing post about the [24 best mountain towns in the U.S.](https://www.outsideonline.com/adventure-travel/destinations/north-america/best-mountain-towns-us/) and I am really curious what is it like to live there? Does anyone live in any of them or in a similar town? I am approaching the age of retirement and always wanted to move away from a busy urban life.

Is there anything you miss?

I move around a fair bit. I always find smaller towns peaceful and slow. Slow in a positive way. You start understanding life when things slow down.
